Pathfinders Suffer 6-1 Road Loss
Riding the 3-hit performance of the four-time All-Star Xicoyotl Montalbán, the Death Valley Scorpions stopped the Toronto Pathfinders, 6-1, in 9 innings. The win went to Dennis Martinez in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Biz Kitmaker took the loss. Death Valley is now 42-46.

The Pathfinders had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Scorpions going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 2077 Champions home run champion Stelle came to the plate. Stelle hit a bases-clearing double on a 1-1 fastball from Toronto hurler "Fire" Aaron Boone. It was Stelle's 29th double of the year.
