Getting an impressive start from Ryan Lee, Cancun beat Indianapolis by the score of 7-2. Lee yielded 2 runs over 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 11. His record improves to 11-8. Roquefort Cotswald locked down his 15th save.
Tyler Detherage had a big bases-clearing double for the Toros in the bottom of the third inning. With Cancun leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Calm Chicken, who finished 3rd in the Champions in ERA with 3.18 in 2072, and swatted a double to left. It was his 18th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Toros ahead, 4-0.
"Solid game, solid win tonight," said a smiling Detherage.
Cancun has now won 3 straight, while the Apex have lost 3 in a row.
