Detroit turned a good performance from starting pitcher Remy Lebeau into a 3-1 triumph over the Cancun Toros at Demon's Lair at Laser Park. The win puts Detroit at 60-30 this season.

The Demons got a big at-bat from left fielder Higashi Shizuka. For the game, Shizuka went 1 for 3 with a double. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 15th double of the season gave Detroit a 2-1 lead.

"The other side took advantage in some key situations," said Cancun manager .
