Vancouver turned a good effort from starter Andy Beans into a win over the Boise Raptors at The Thunderdome. The Vandals won the game, 4-1. Earning the save was Jackson Kidd. He's now cashed in 3 of 7 save opportunities. Vancouver, at 56-36, is 12 games up in the Legends Conference West.

Pierre Phillip had a big 2-run triple for the Vandals in the bottom of the second inning. With Vancouver leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a curveball from top prospect Marsh Mellow Jr. and swatted a triple to right. It was his 3rd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Vandals ahead, 3-0.

"Andy was throwing strikes, locating well," said Vancouver manager .
