Rougarous Edge Sea Serpents, 4-3
The New Orleans Rougarous topped the Seattle Sea Serpents, 4-3, in Champions Conference action at The Aquadome. The standout performance belonged to New Orleans pitcher and Sydney, Australia, native Jonny Tom. The winner was Tom. He threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Matt Buster. The Sea Serpents, now 37-55, have lost 5 straight.

Had Wakko Warner not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Warner hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Rougarous.

Afterward, Seattle manager said: "We've hit a rough patch."
