The New Orleans Rougarous beat the Seattle Sea Serpents, 6-3, at The Aquadome. The win was due in part to third baseman Sydney Johnson, who was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Tim Westbrook, 5-6, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. The win for the Rougarous lifted their record to 46-46.

New Orleans used a timely hit from Where Wolf to get the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Rougarous ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Very good win for our guys," said Johnson.
