Voyagers Deal Crabs 3-1 Loss
|
The New York Voyagers used the hitting of catcher Roman Nickalus to subdue the Providence Crabs, 3-1. For the game, Nickalus went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. This win makes it 6 in a row for New York.
Had Nickalus not come through in the top of the tenth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Nickalus hit a 2-run home run. The Voyagers took the lead, 3-1, and never looked back.
Nickalus called the win "a collective effort."
