The New Orleans Rougarous knocked off the Cancun Toros, 7-6, at Full Moon Stadium. Ashley Joanna Williams was a big reason New Orleans won. The first baseman hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. New Orleans reliever James Filtipaldi was credited with the win, to go to 5-1. John Cowgill took the loss for Cancun. New Orleans is in third place in the Champions Conference West with a record of 55-38.

Had Abigail Mills not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Mills hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 7-6, in favor of the Rougarous.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said New Orleans manager .
