Starting pitcher Jasper Windt pitched well enough to help the Buffalo Surge beat the Cancun Toros, 7-5. Windt got the win, improving to 4-14. He gave up 5 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Max Lovehammer earned the save for Buffalo, his 1st of the year.

Buffalo used a well-timed hit by A Starting Pitcher to capture the win. The center fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Surge ahead, 3-2. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"Jasper was exceptional and he pitched with a purpose," said Buffalo manager .

The last-place Surge have won 4 consecutive games.
