Apex 8-3 Winners Over New Orleans
The Indianapolis Apex beat the New Orleans Rougarous by a score of 8-3. Indianapolis first baseman Iesuhc Yttef deserved the lion's share of the credit. Yttef hit 2 home runs for the Apex. Romeo McFlourish, who finished 3rd in the Champions in saves with 14 in 2071, was the winning pitcher. Over 7 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 6 hits, with no walks and 10 strikeouts. Takeda Takahashi got the save, his 15th in 18 chances.

The Apex got a big hit from shortstop Dave Babipperson. In the bottom of the seventh, Babipperson smacked a 2-run double off New Orleans pitcher Maurice Bernard. It was his 14th double of the season. Suddenly, the Apex were ahead, 4-3.

"We did more than enough to get the win," said Yttef.

With the win, Indianapolis pushed its record to 54-44.
