Cancun starter Pedro Martini kept the Indianapolis offense from doing much damage. The right-hander leaned on his changeup in leading the Toros to a 7-1 win. With the win, Cancun pushed its record to 65-33.

Cancun catcher Carlton Beaty contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a changeup to left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 109th hit of the season and put the Toros ahead, 3-1.

Martini said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."
