Rougarous Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Scorpions, 8-5
New Orleans and Death Valley duked it out and the Rougarous came out victorious.

A good performance from first baseman Saad Fakhar helped the New Orleans Rougarous defeat the Death Valley Scorpions, 8-5. Fakhar was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Rougarous. The Scorpions fall to 5-10 and continue to sputter in the early going.

New Orleans used a timely hit from Jefferson Steelflex to get the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Rougarous ahead, 7-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Feels good to get the job done," Fakhar said after the game.
