Big Day for Ghosty as Aviators Down Vandals, 8-2
|
Abe Ghosty knocked in 4 runs to help Outer Banks beat Vancouver, 8-2. Ghosty produced 2 singles and 1 home run. Sniper King, the winner, is now 13-4. He struck out 1 and walked 3 over 5.1 innings, while allowing 2 runs on 7 hits. At 45-55, the Aviators claim third place in the Legends Conference East.
With Outer Banks leading 5-2 in the bottom of the eighth, Ghosty came up to bat against Vancouver pitcher Lucas Greep. Ghosty hit a fastball to right-center for a 3-run home run. His 7th home run of the season put the Aviators on top, 8-2.
"I really like what we did out there today," Ghosty said after the game.
