					| Stars Edge Past Scorpions, 3-2 |
					| In a low-scoring tilt between the Nashville Stars and the Death Valley Scorpions, Zach Mulder, who is tied for 5th in the Champions with a 10.1 K/9 rate, was the difference-maker. The Nashville right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Nashville reliever Siegmeyer of Catarina picked up the win, upping his record to 5-7. Bandit Keith absorbed the loss. The save went to Kenny DeNunez, number 6 for him.
Nashville used the timely hitting of C.J. Lavine to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Stars on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I like the vibe in the clubhouse after a win," said Mulder. "It sure beats the alternative."

The Stars now own a record of 46-55.
