Indianapolis Gets 6-3 Win
|
The Indianapolis Apex picked up a win at Demon's Lair at Laser Park, downing the Detroit Demons, 6-3. On the mound for Indianapolis was left-hander Maurice Bernard, who played a pivotal role in the win. Indianapolis is now 56-49, while Detroit is 66-39.
Chauncey Ingram had a big 2-run home run for the Apex in the top of the fourth inning. With Indianapolis leading 2-1 and a runner on 3rd, he sized up a fastball from Strider, who led the Champions in strikeouts with 200 last year, and punished it. The result was his 20th home run of the season, which put the Apex on top, 4-1.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Bernard said.
