Meredith goes 3-for-5 to Light Toros Fuse
The 14-4 Cancun win over Seattle was due largely to Myles Meredith. The Toros right fielder was 3 for 5 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 5. Samuel Smoltz, the winning pitcher, is now 18-5. He went 8 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits, while fanning 6 and walking 1. The winning streak has now reached 6 games for the Toros.

John Jonathan Johnsen-Jonsen went 1 for 4 with a double and a walk for Cancun. The 24-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Pim Pimling. It was his 37th walk of the season.

"This team is real focused right now," said Cancun manager .
