The Cancun Toros and Seattle Sea Serpents put on quite a show.

The Cancun Toros faced a tough opponent in Seattle pitcher Ivy de Vries, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Aquadome by a final score of 5-2. de Vries went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Samuel Smoltz picked up his 11th save of the season.

Cancun used the timely hitting of Sting Eucliffe to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Toros on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Cancun manager commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."

With the win over Seattle, the Toros improved to 63-43.
