New Orleans Loss Tarnishes Fine Game by MacCheesy
Despite a fine performance by catcher Tater MacCheesy, the New Orleans Rougarous lost to the Detroit Demons, 9-6. MacCheesy hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Spencer Bearer got credit for the save for Detroit. It was his 1st of the year. The Rougarous drop to 5-11.

Higashi Shizuka, who is tied for 4th in the Champions in triples with 1, helped out the Detroit cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the designated hitter was 1 for 2 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"We've got a great group of guys," Shizuka said, "and we're having fun right now."
