Sloths Deal Vandals 8-6 Defeat

The San Antonio Sloths beat the Vancouver Vandals, 8-6, at The Scudder Forty-Three Stadium. The Sloths got a fine performance from designated hitter Don Marcus, who was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. Johnny Tatum, who went 5.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 5 runs on 6 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 6. His record now stands at 14-7. San Antonio has now won 3 straight, while the Vandals have lost 3 in a row.
With one out in the top of the second, Tedford Woofington Jr. barreled up a knuckle curve from Corner Pocket. The result was a 2-run home run, putting the Sloths in front, 8-1.
