Vandals Send San Antonio Home with 5-2 Loss
|
Vancouver right-hander Andy Beans pitched his team to victory over the San Antonio Sloths at The Thunderdome. The final score was 5-2. The winning pitcher was Beans, now 13-4. He tossed 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 7. The Vandals own a robust 68-40 mark.
The Vandals got a big at-bat from first baseman McLovin Jr.. For the game, McLovin Jr. was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 23rd home run of the season gave Vancouver a 4-2 lead.
