The Detroit Demons picked up a win at Cari Price Memorial Stadium, knocking off the Death Valley Scorpions, 5-3. Starting pitcher Pythagoras played a key role in the triumph. The Scorpions, at 5-12, have stumbled out of the gate.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Danger Dollarson? The Detroit third baseman had a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Demons on top, 3-1. For the game, Dollarson had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"It's a mindset," said Pythagoras. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
