Cy Duck, who finished 3rd in the Legends in saves with 16 in 2075, was locked in. The right-hander led the Death Valley Scorpions to a 6-2 win against the Toronto Pathfinders at The Lodge. The win brings the Scorpions to 6-13, an awful start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.

Xicoyotl Montalbán, who finished 2nd in the Champions in wins above replacement with 5.7 in 2075, chipped in a 2-run home run for Death Valley in the top of the seventh. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
