Pathfinders Take Tight Tangle
Both teams had their chances, but the Toronto Pathfinders eventually prevailed.

The Toronto Pathfinders, despite a fine performance by Vancouver pitcher Andy Beans, grabbed a 3-2 win at The Thunderdome. Beans allowed 1 run over 6.2 innings. "Fire" Aaron Boone closed it out for his 1st save.

Toronto used the timely hitting of Dean Ice to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Pathfinders on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Ice attributed the win to his team's "steely resolve."

Vancouver now is 1-2.
