de Nostredame, Lemurs Take Dramatic Game 3 for 2-1 Series Lead
|
The Louisville Lemurs nearly wasted a strong game from starter Michel de Nostredame, but were saved by some timely hitting in a 12th inning walk-off win over the Kansas City Hepcats today.
de Nostredame pitched well in the 2-1 win at Colby Koffman Championship Field at The Jungle. He threw 7.1 innings of 6-hit ball. The win allowed Louisville to seize a 2-1 lead in the best-of-5 First Round.
Batting in the bottom of the 12th, 21-year old third baseman Diego Machado had a real shot to win the game. Kansas City pitcher Poe Poe was determined not to let it happen. But with no outs, Machado hit a run-scoring single. The Lemurs had a walk-off triumph.
"Both teams played hard," said Louisville manager .
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Colby Koffman Championship Field at The Jungle in Providence.
