George Blasts Bears, Kingpins Take Game 4, 7-5
|
The Chicago Kingpins and the Brew City Bears will take the First Round to a decisive 5th game. In a must-win situation, the Kingpins beat the Bears, 7-5, at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Chicago first baseman TJ George was 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4.
The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fifth when George hit a run-scoring single. It thrust the Kingpins into the lead, 4-3.
"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said George. "You've got to get results."
Game 5 is scheduled for Friday at Walter Partlo Memorial Stadium at The Tap House in Providence.
