Smalls Blasts Rougarous, Scorpions Take Game 4, 4-2
|
With left fielder Smalls leading the charge, the Death Valley Scorpions got a road win over the New Orleans Rougarous, 4-2, in Game 4 of the Divisional Series today. Smalls went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once at Full Moon Stadium to help Death Valley force a 2-2 tie in the best-of-5 series.
Smalls turned the game around in the top of the eighth. That's when the Death Valley left fielder dialed up a 3-run home run. Just like that, Death Valley's 2-1 deficit turned into a 4-2 lead.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Death Valley manager . "Our pregame was pretty good."
Game 5 is scheduled for Tuesday at Cari Price Memorial Stadium in Providence.
