Almost There: Florida On Cusp of SF Triumph After 9-7 Win
|
Riding the 2-hit performance of left fielder McScootie Fortune, the Florida Flamingos got a road win against the Chicago Kingpins, 9-7, in Game 4 of the Semi-FInals. Fortune went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Flamingos, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 1.
Tung Tung Tung Sahur, the Florida right fielder, contributed a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to make the score 9-4, Flamingos. For the game, Sahur went 2-5 with 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once.
"This was a nice win for us," said Sahur. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium in Providence.
