Conference Finals Game 1 Goes to Cancun, Thanks to Ohi Kau
|
The Cancun Toros started the Conference Finals in style, downing the visiting Indianapolis Apex at Coliseo Toros, presentado por VINS by a score of 7-4 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Toros first baseman Feka Ohi Kau hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice.
Had Ohi Kau not come through in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have changed. Instead, with two down, Ohi Kau hit a 3-run home run. The Toros never looked back after taking the 5-4 lead.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Ohi Kau told the Cancun Herald. "It's as simple as that."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Coliseo Toros, presentado por VINS in Providence.
