Leonidas Longpipe brought his A-game to help New York defeat the Buffalo Surge, 4-1. Big Rooster snagged the win in relief. He goes to 3-1 on the season. Jackson Pollock V suffered the loss. New York raised its record to 16-8 with the win.

Kanutake MeHire, who finished 2nd in the Champions in hits with 142 in 2072, aided the New York cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the third. For the game, the first baseman drove in one run.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said MeHire, "one at-bat at a time."
