					| Home Field Advantage: Fielder, Cancun Open Conference Finals with Win |
					| The Cancun Toros started the Conference Finals in style today, downing the visiting Nashville Stars at El Coliseo de los Toros by a score of 4-2 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Toros left-hander Center Fielder threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball.
Had Troy Murphy not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Murphy hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Toros.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Fielder said after the game.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at El Coliseo de los Toros in Providence.
