Providence registered a win at The Pot by beating the New York Voyagers, 3-2. Pitcher Joe Random was one reason why the Crabs triumphed. In 7 innings, Random surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Providence now sits at 18-6, while New York falls to 10-14.

The Voyagers had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Crabs going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 28-year old third baseman Paulo Zalewski came to the plate.
