The first-place Nashville Stars took on the Death Valley Scorpions in front of a spirited crowd.

The Nashville Stars converted a terrific effort from starter Mac John into a win over the Death Valley Scorpions at Gibson Soundstage. The Stars won the game by a final score of 5-1. With the win, the Stars have a record of 19-7.

The Scorpions had few good swings against John, the left-hander, who threw 106 pitches over 7.2 innings. He allowed just 1 run on 3 hits.
