The Cancun Toros trumped the Indianapolis Apex, 7-0, at El Coliseo de los Toros. Cancun third baseman Feka Ohi Kau was terrific. He was 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. John Cowgill, the winner, improved to 2-1. He held the Apex to no runs on 4 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 1. The Toros, now 16-11, know that wins in May count the same as wins in September.

With Cancun leading 3-0 in the bottom of the eighth, Ohi Kau hit a cutter from Takeda Takahashi for a grand slam home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Toros ahead, 7-0.

Ohi Kau called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
