5 Straight Wins for Scorpions
Death Valley picked up a win at Cari Price Memorial Stadium, toppling the New Orleans Rougarous, 14-6. Pitcher Guy Roussy was one of the reasons the Scorpions triumphed. The triumph puts Death Valley at 17-11 for the season.

Bass Reeves dealt the Rougarous a blow in the bottom of the first. Batting with the bases loaded and Death Valley leading 4-1, Reeves, who is a three-time All-Star, hit a first pitch fastball for a bases-clearing double.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Roussy, "and then get after it again."
