The Cancun Toros defeated the New Orleans Rougarous, 13-5. Doing his part was left fielder Myles Meredith, who went 2-5 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 6. John Cowgill got credit for the win, improving to 4-1. He allowed 5 runs on 6 hits in 6 innings. The first-place Toros now sit at 19-10.

With Cancun leading 8-5 in the bottom of the eighth, Meredith came up to bat against New Orleans pitcher Tim Westbrook. Meredith hit a sinker to left for a 3-run home run. His 5th home run of the season put the Toros on top, 11-5.
