Outer Banks and New York duked it out and the Aviators came out victorious.
The Outer Banks Aviators picked up a win at The Island, taking down the New York Voyagers, 7-4. Starting pitcher Sniper King was a big reason why. The save was credited to Chudigal Son, his 1st.
Outer Banks got a big at-bat from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native Curtis Jones, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a bases-clearing double. It was his 10th double of the season and put the Aviators ahead, 7-1.
"Nice win for us," said Jones. "Now we'll go after the next one."
Outer Banks raised its record to 19-11 with the win.
