Loss Diminishes Fine Performance by Fernandez Jr.
Indianapolis second baseman Dee Fernandez Jr. had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Fernandez Jr. went 4-5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2, even as Seattle beat the Apex, 10-6. Seattle starter Archie Richards was credited with the win after throwing 102 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 1-5. The win has Seattle at 10-21.

Bradley Wellerman Jr. had a big 2-run double for the Sea Serpents in the top of the fifth inning. With Seattle leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a cutter from Calm Chicken, who finished 2nd in the Champions in strikeouts with 198 in 2075, and swatted a double to left. It was his 12th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Sea Serpents ahead, 4-1.
