The Providence Crabs picked up a win at The Pot, topping the Boise Raptors, 3-1. On the mound for Providence was left-hander Count Crabula. He played a principal role in the triumph. The winning pitcher was Crabula, now 7-1. He tossed 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 4. Crabby Pebbles earned the save, his 2nd.

The Crabs got a big at-bat from third baseman Seymour Baltz. For the game, Baltz went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Providence a 2-0 lead.

"Count had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Providence manager .

With the win, Providence pushed its record to 21-11.
