The Buffalo Surge racked up a win at The Power House, bumping off the Toronto Pathfinders, 6-5, in 12 innings. J.C. Swishman, who started for Buffalo, pitched effectively for his team. The winner in relief was Akio de Los Santos. He is now 1-0. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. The Surge improved their record to 17-16 with the win over Toronto.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Pee Wee Rhys in the bottom of the 12th. That's when he hit a solo home run off 32-year old right-handed pitcher Clay Homes to win it for Buffalo and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

"Took some scratching and clawing," said Rhys. "But we got it done."
