Aviators Deal New Orleans 4-1 Defeat
|
Outer Banks registered a win at The Island by beating the New Orleans Rougarous, 4-1. Pitcher Joseph Mathys Hendry was one reason why the Aviators triumphed. In 6.1 innings, Mathys Hendry surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 5. He allowed 1 run. Outer Banks now sits at 20-16, while New Orleans falls to 18-18.
Outer Banks designated hitter Ángel de la Fuerte contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a cutter to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 32nd hit of the season and put the Aviators ahead, 4-1.
"Joseph did a good job keeping the game under control," said Outer Banks manager .
