The first-place Cancun Toros picked up another win.

Victor Cortez led Cancun to a win over New York. The final score was 6-3. The Barquisimeto, Venezuela native collected 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. J.C. Swishman, who finished 4th in the Legends in ERA with 2.76 in 2073, was the winner in relief. His record is now 2-2. The losing pitcher was PDub Woods. Kelly Brandt earned the save for Cancun, his 2nd.

Cortez had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 0-1 curveball from PDub Woods, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Toros a 5-3 lead. It was the 16th home run of the year for Cortez.

After today's action, Cancun sits at 23-13, while New York falls to 23-13.
