A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Vancouver Vandals and Indianapolis Apex.

Vancouver starter Xavier Zickafoose pitched well against the Indianapolis Apex at The Brickyard. The left-hander led his team to a win, 5-1. Getting the save was Jackson Kidd, his 8th.

Akshay Hrishikesh, who is tied for 3rd in the Legends with a .403 on-base percentage, aided the Vancouver cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth. For the game, the catcher was 1-3 with 2 walks.

"Xavier did a nice job," said Vandals manager .

The Vandals now have a record of 16-20 with the win over Indianapolis.
