The Outer Banks Aviators topped the Death Valley Scorpions, 12-5, with first baseman Rachel Morimura playing a big role. Morimura went 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and 2 doubles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 7 for the Aviators in the win. The win puts Outer Banks at 14-22.

With Outer Banks leading 4-3 in the top of the fifth, Morimura hit a fastball from Deviver Votto for a run-scoring double. It was his 16th double of the season and put the Aviators ahead, 5-3.
