Aviators Beaten, 5-3, by Vancouver

At The Thunderdome, the Outer Banks Aviators and Vancouver Vandals were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Vancouver picked up a win at The Thunderdome, bumping off the Outer Banks Aviators, 5-3. Pitcher Thor Lore was a major reason the Vandals emerged victorious. Lore, now 5-1, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 10, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. The save went to Alejandro Abasi, number 6 for him.
Atlas Sluggs, who is tied for 4th in the Legends in home runs with 10, contributed to the Vancouver win with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"Thor's a gamer," said Vancouver manager . "Glad he's on our side."
The Vandals raised their record to 25-14.
