Sloths Score Late to Beat Raptors, 5-4
|
The San Antonio Sloths walked off with a big win.
The San Antonio Sloths defeated the Boise Raptors, 5-4, in 12 innings. Turd Ferguson, who is on pace for 70 RBI this season, played a big role. Ferguson went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs for the Sloths in the win. San Antonio reliever Carlos Krash picked up the win to move to 4-1. Christian Summers suffered the loss.
The defining moment came in the bottom of the 12th for San Antonio. That's when Press Duckley Jr. hit a run-scoring double off 23-year old left-handed pitcher Christian Summers to win the game. The home crowd went wild.
Duckley Jr. described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
With the win, San Antonio pushed its record to 23-17.
