Sea Serpents Stick Rougarous with 7-5 Loss
The Seattle Sea Serpents stopped the New Orleans Rougarous, 7-5, behind an impressive performance from Bookie Metts. The 27-year old third baseman made life miserable for New Orleans pitching. He was 2-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Xavier Pruitt was the winner. He's now 5-2. The loser was 24-year old left-handed pitcher Griff Manzer. Picking up the save was 28-year old right-handed pitcher Archie Richards.

Seattle grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Metts hit a grand slam home run off Griff Manzer. His 5th home run of the season put the Sea Serpents out in front, 4-3.

"Good to pick up this win," Metts said.

Seattle now owns a record of 23-17.
