The home crowd had a good time watching the New Orleans Rougarous and Cancun Toros get after it.

Cancun picked up a win at Coliseo Toros, presentado por VINS, bumping off the New Orleans Rougarous, 3-0. Pitcher Pedro Martini was a major reason the Toros emerged victorious. The defeat makes New Orleans 18-24.

Martini, a native of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, was dealing all game. He kept New Orleans hitters off-balance, while giving the Toros 8.1 quality innings. Martini threw 107 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 9.

"Pedro had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Cancun manager .
