Lunar Base Roughed Up By Apex
|
The Indianapolis Apex topped the Lunar Base Space Rangers by a score of 10-1. Leading the way was first baseman Iesuhc Yttef. Yttef belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 5 for the Apex. Biggus Tittious Smittious, the winning pitcher, is now 6-4. He went 6 innings, allowing 1 run on 6 hits, while fanning 6 and walking 2. Stu Macher closed it out for Indianapolis, earning his 4th save.
With Indianapolis leading 4-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Yttef came up to bat against Lunar Base pitcher Ryan Express. Yttef hit a cutter to right for a 3-run home run. His 9th home run of the season put the Apex on top, 7-0.
"We didn't play well enough to win," said Lunar Base skipper .
The Apex raised their record to 18-24.
