Vandals Come Back Late to Clip Voyagers
|
The Thunderdome hosted an old-fashioned pitchers' duel.
The Vancouver Vandals picked up a win at The Thunderdome, knocking off the New York Voyagers, 2-1. Starting pitcher Thor Lore played a key role in the triumph. Jackson Kidd snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Big Rooster suffered the loss.
Steven Strange was the walk-off hero for Vancouver. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Vandals center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Lore.
New York, with the loss, is still a robust 5-1.
