Pathfinders Top Raptors in Extras, 6-2
|
The Toronto Pathfinders downed the Boise Raptors, 6-2. The hitting star was center fielder Ethan Shadow. Shadow went 3 for 5 with a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 3 times for the Pathfinders. Harold Smith, credited with the win, is now 1-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit. Earning his 1st save of the year was Sandman Summers.
Toronto used the clutch hitting of Sidney Hughes to capture the win. The second baseman drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the 14th inning to give the Pathfinders the lead, 3-2. For the game, Hughes had 3 singles and 1 double in 7 at-bats.
"Our team showed some spunk," said Shadow.
