Grayle Traveler impressed in the 14-4 Providence win over Boise. Traveler, who finished 5th in the Legends in hits with 140 in 2073, was 4-5 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Providence pitcher LeSean Maximus Marbondalenny Pitchlord earned the win, hiking his record to 3-7. Redd Rockman suffered the loss. Justin Ferb got credit for the save for Providence. It was his 1st of the year.

The Raptors had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Crabs going into the top of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the slick-fielding third baseman Seymour Baltz came to the plate. Baltz hit a 2-run double on a first pitch sinker from Boise hurler Redd Rockman. It was Baltz's 14th double of the year.

"It was great to come out and swing the bats," Baltz told the Providence Times.

The Crabs improved their record to 27-23 by beating Boise.
