Hrishikesh Rips New Orleans for 5 Hits
|
There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.
Akshay Hrishikesh is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the New Orleans Rougarous at The Thunderdome. The monster effort from the 30-year-old catcher helped the Vancouver Vandals get the win, 23-4.
"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Rougarous manager . "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."
Akshay Hrishikesh hit a two-run single in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Antonio Abner in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Ea Nasir in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
A look at his current stats shows Hrishikesh with a .321 average, 9 home runs, 43 RBIs and 32 runs scored. He has played in 51 games.
