Apex Use Late Rally to Win
Indianapolis and Toronto duked it out and the Apex came out victorious.

The Indianapolis Apex topped the Toronto Pathfinders, 7-5, in Champions Conference action at The Brickyard. The game was highlighted by the performance of Indianapolis pitcher Biggus Tittious Smittious. Indianapolis reliever James Noble got the win, raising his record to 4-2. Stetson Mixon was tagged with the loss.

Had Dave Babipperson not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Babipperson hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Apex.

"We'll grab a cold beverage tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Babipperson said.

The win gives Indianapolis a season record of 30-21.
